Our information is based on our listings of unique web profiles for each member provider. In order that users may search these member profiles, we offer relevant search capabilities by type of business, by zip code, by distance, by language, by gender, by appointment times, by insurance accepted and much more.

Users will be able to find member profiles in a number of ways. Search variables include distance of professional or business from the user, the name of your business, the type of business, your business’ specialty, the language spoken, its hours of operation, and more. Users will simply click on the appropriate category in which your business falls, or enter the applicable search variable, and your business name will present. The principal way in which you or your business comes up as the result of a search is by distance using member’s and user’s zip codes. Sorting, therefore, depends on the context of the member’s location to the user’s location. This way the playing field is leveled. In other words, every member has a relative opportunity for being included in whatever category, since the search is dependant on where the user who is doing the search lives or works. If all the lists generated were alphabetical, for example, the “A” listings would have a distinct advantage. Sorting by distance between member and user locations, which is relative and random, gives every member the same chance of being presented in search results. Because of this factor, user ratings become very important for the member.

The number of specials you may post at any given time is currently unlimited. The norm is usually three or four, but the number of promotions you wish to offer is up to you. Keep in mind, however, that the more specials you post the more encouraged a user will be to browse and to access them.

DocTalk is a live chat medical advice feature on the profile of each medical care provider listed on the HB Connection site. The purpose is for the convenience of users to consult with a real medical doctor in real time about a medical problem. The DocTalk physician is a professional and licensed medical doctor and not an employee of HB Connection. The DocTalk physician will never render online treatment, only advice, although he or she may suggest that users make an appointment to see him or her—or another doctor. The DocTalk feature will only enhance and never interfere with the medical services that our member provides in the health care industry have to offer. Not every member provider may choose to activate this particular feature.

Our member partners benefit from several site features that are included as part of your membership package.  You may upload photos, list your services, post any specials or incentives you wish to extend to users, and publish a “contact us” feature.  You’ll also be able to list key information about you or your place of business, such as any awards that have been earned, education, financial terms and more. Through an information content system, you’ll be able to enter, change and delete your information as you see fit.    For a nominal fee, HB Connection offers optional services that include streaming video, banner ads, placement of your profile in multiple categories and a personal information management system managed for you.  Other options are a personal domain name—for instance, www.drjohnsmith.com—that brings users directly to your member profile and top listing placement of your profile in one or more select categories.    

Ratings increase your popularity among our user database. It is more likely a user will want to know about member providers with a higher rating than those who have a lower rating. Posting specials is one way that will encourage users to patronize your business or service. Users who use your business or avail themselves of your good or services, in turn, translate to the member’s rating. The greater your rating the greater your business will be valued by users.

They can do both! We list the address and telephone number of each of our members in their listings. Users may use that information to contact you directly. However, any specials that appear on our website must be accessed by the user through our website. In this way you will know that the site is working for both you and for the user.
